The novel begins in the early 1990s, taking readers on a journey from the past to the present. It is written to inspire and offer hope to a world that has become increasingly independent in worshiping God and disobedient in obeying His commands.
Although this book is fictional by definition, it focuses on the real power and sanctifying grace that only the Holy Spirit can give to believers in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In Holy Scripture, Acts 19:11–12 describes the Apostle Paul preaching in Ephesus, where God worked unusual miracles through his hands. Handkerchiefs and aprons were brought from his body to the sick and to those possessed by evil spirits; the sick were healed, and the evil spirits departed.
In The Sacred Lamp, the Holy Spirit’s healing power is revealed through the light of a lamp introduced by a young boy known as Messenger Boy.

The second half of the book, The Discovery, unfolds several years later as the power within the lamp is revealed. As in real life, some people attempt to alter destiny for personal gain. But divine purpose cannot be controlled by human ambition.
