Introduction

Hello everyone. My name is Derwyn Golden, founder of 21st Century Storyteller Productions, LLC. I’m pleased to offer a storytelling platform that includes story novels, comic books, and animated videos for all ages.

I always wrote poems and short stories as a child growing up in Detroit, Michigan and wanted to make a positive impact on our youth through positive messages in my writings.

On October 31, 2015, I had the pleasure of meeting the acclaimed actor and activist Danny Glover at the Charles H. Wright Museum in Detroit. Our brief conversation became a cornerstone of my creative life. I shared with him my passion for writing short stories, and he listened with genuine interest. To my delight, Mr. Glover kindly encouraged me to continue pursuing my goal and even provided his email address, offering to review my first publication. His words of encouragement filled me with a newfound sense of purpose and determination.

Motivated by Mr. Glover's support, I turned my focus to producing animated videos—a medium that could bring my stories to life in new and exciting ways. The process was challenging and rewarding, demanding countless hours of learning, experimentation, and dedication. It took about seven months of persistent effort to complete my very first animation.

When my animation was finally finished, I was eager to share it with the person who helped set me on this path. I sent Mr. Glover a link to my work, hoping that he might see how his encouragement had blossomed into creative achievement. Although I didn't receive a response, the experience was deeply meaningful to me.

Looking back, I remain deeply grateful for Danny Glover's kindness and encouragement. That simple conversation in Detroit was the catalyst that propelled me into the world of animation and helped me believe in the value of my creative voice. Today, I continue to pursue my passion, always remembering the importance of support, inspiration, and perseverance. .

The Sacred Lamp

Prologue

This novel begins in the early nineteen nineties, taking you through a past journey (The Gift) to the present (The Discovery). The book will inspire and give hope to a world that has become both autonomous in worshiping God and disobedient in obeying His commands. Man has established his own rules by redefining morality to satisfy his lewd and immoral behavior. Although this book is fictitious by definition of its content, it focuses on the real power and sanctifying grace that only The Holy Spirit can give to those who are believers in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In Holy Scripture, King James Bible, Acts 19:11–12, Apostle Paul is preaching in Ephesus and working unusual miracles by his hands. Handkerchiefs and aprons were brought from his body and given to the sick and those possessed with evil spirits. The sick were healed, and the evil spirits came out of the ones who were possessed. God gave Paul the power to do these miracles through The Holy Spirit. In this novel, The Holy Spirit's healing power manifests itself through the light of a lamp, introduced by a young boy named Messenger Boy.

The Gift

The first half of the book is entitled The Gift. In these chapters, miraculous healings occur to people in possession of the lamp. The cause of these unexplained events is mysterious and unknown. The story begins in Detroit, Michigan, with two of the opening main characters, setting the stage for this mystical journey.

The Discovery

The second half of the book is entitled The Discovery. Several years have passed, and the unveiling power within the lamp reveals itself. As it is in real-life scenarios, conniving people attempt to alter destiny in their favor for personal gain, which is the case here. But what God has put into place for His glory cannot be hidden, changed, or destroyed.

With that said, sit back in your favorite chair, put on your reading glasses, and travel down the pathway leading to The Sacred Lamp.
